Post-punk band Gang of Four has announced the release of their upcoming full-length album, titled Happy Now. The album is set for release on March 1, 2019 and will serve as the follow up to their 2018 EP, Complicit.
The new record, which is now available for pre-order by the way, comes 40 years after the band’s groundbreaking debut, Entertainment!
“Happiness is always an odd one; so difficult to pin down. Our personal lives are always a mixture-sad things, tragedy, joy,” founding member Andy Gill explains. “When we were younger we thought things would gradually get better: the world would be less sexist, less racist, progress would be made and now we know that history isn’t linear; it’s very capable of U-turns.”
In addition to the upcoming release, the band has also announced a US tour in support of the record, which will kick off on February 4th in Tustin, California and make its way across the country. You can check out the list of tour dates HERE.
