’13 Reasons Why’ Season 2: Is It In The Works?

If you’re one of the millions of people that have watched Netflix’s latest hit series, 13 Reasons Why, you’re probably just as curious as we are as to whether or not there will be a season 2.

If you’ve finished season 1 already, you probably have a ton of questions. Don’t worry, you’re not alone. We have questions too! Like is Alex okay? Why is Tyler building an arsenal? What will Mr. Porter do with the tapes? Will Bryce pay for what he did? Where is Justin going? How does the trial turn out? Does Jessica tell her dad what happened? Does Courtney tell her dads her secret? The questions are never ending! We may be at the end of Hannah’s story, but there are so many other stories that have just begun.

Normally, when a series does as well as 13 Reasons Why did, it’s a no-brainer to renew it for another season. However, this series isn’t like most. Aside from mostly positive reviews and praise for putting a spotlight on sexual assault and bullying, 13 Reasons Why has received a lot of backlash regarding it’s graphic depiction of suicide. However, it seems as though the negativity is not holding the producers and writers of the series back.

While it is not yet official, Deadline reports that word is that 13 Reasons Why would be getting a second-season renewal. This does not come as much of a surprise considering the show’s success, as well as how well-received executive producer Selena Gomez has been by critics.

As we stated earlier, we may have reached the end of Hannah’s tapes, but the aftermath has only just begun. The possibilities for a season two are endless, and we can’t wait to see what happens next!
