The ever-growing world of e-commerce strikes again! This time teen retailer Rue 21 has announced that they will be closing the doors to a number of their stores. The decline of foot traffic has been a problem for the stores, as well as a number of other chains. Between the competition from online retailers as well as from fast-fashion chains, such as H&M and Forever 21, it has become difficult for a number of stores to thrive.
The retailer confirmed the closures with a tweet:
Rue 21 has 1,218 locations across 48 states, and they assure customers that they will still have hundreds of locations for consumers to visit as well as their website. To see which stores are set to close, visit rue21.com.
