Lets get ready to rumble! WWE Royal Rumble takes place tonight, makes announcements for next year

The WWE’s annual Royal Rumble takes place tonight at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. This year’s event features a number of big title matches which will lead up to the main event, a 30 man royal rumble match. The kickoff show starts at 5ET/2PT and will feature the following matches: Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax, Raw Tag Team Champions Sheamus and Cesaro vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson (title match), and a 6-person Women’s Tag Match which will feature Nikki Bella, Naomi, and Becky Lynch vs. Natalya, Alexa Bliss, and the recently returned Mickie James.

The Royal Rumble show starts at 7ET/4PT which will feature a number of matches to kick-off the night. Those matches include: WWE Cruiserweight Championship match between Neville and the current Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann, a RAW Women’s Title Match between reigning champ Charlotte Flair and Bayley, a WWE Championship match between reigning champ AJ Styles and John Cena, the highly anticipated WWE Universal Championship match between reigning champ Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns (which will also feature Chris Jericho trapped in a shark cage), and last but not the least the main event Royal Rumble.

Although we don’t know the complete lineup of the Royal Rumble match, this is who we know so far: Bill Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker, Big Show, Dean Ambrose, The Miz, Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler, Big E, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, Luke Harper, Mojo Rawley, Braun Strowman, Chris Jericho, Baron Corbin, Cesaro, Sheamus, Big Cass, and Rusev. The rest will be a surprise.

Get those Philly pretzels and Cheesesteaks ready because in addition to tonight’s big event, the WWE has announced this week that next year’s Royal Rumble (Royal Rumble 2018), will take place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA on Sunday, January 28, 2018.

There’s a lot going on in the world of WWE, and we can’t wait to see what tonight (and the road to Wrestlemania) brings! What are your predictions for tonight’s matches?
