Michelle Branch, remember her? The woman who brought you the song you would sing into your hairbrush in front of the mirror back in the early 2000s. Fourteen years later, the Everywhere singer is ready to put out her first album since 2003 with the help of her boyfriend Patrick Carney of The Black Keys.
The album, titled Hopeless Romantic, picks up right where Branch left off. While keeping to her roots, Branch plans to add a lot of personal touches to the album, with inspiration from the breakup with her ex-husband Teddy Landau as well as her current relationship with Carney. In her recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Branch tells of Carney’s advice when it comes to the album,“Patrick was like, ‘This is your record, it has to sound like you,’” she recalls. “It was the first time that someone pushed me to figure it all out on my own.”
While no singles have yet to be released from the album, listeners can expect the album to be released on April 7th of this year.
