Carrie Fisher, the legendary actress known for her role in Star Wars as Princess Leia, has died at the age of 60. Fisher had been hospitalized since Friday after suffering from a medical emergency aboard a flight at Los Angeles International Airport.
The actress’ daughter, Billie Lourd, released a statement through her spokesperson on Tuesday regarding Fisher’s death.
Fisher achieved a lot throughout her life, including turning her experiences with addiction and mental illness into bestselling books, appearances in a number of hit movies, and incredible on stage performances.
